Successful COVID-19 Response Campaign

Thank you, thank you, thank you! HOOP HERO's campaign on GoFundMe for COVID-19 medical workers was a success! We reached our goal of $2,000 in two days. The money raised will go towards manufacturing of aerosol boxes for hospitals.

The sterile, reusable aerosol box covers the patient’s head while the doctors intubate the patient for a ventilator. The intubation process poses the most risk for medical workers to be exposed to the virus since they are directly above the patient’s airways and cough droplets (aerosol spray). These boxes give an additional layer of protection for medical workers since many hospitals are lacking adequate protective equipment for medical staff.
